Hello! Autumn has officially started and it is getting more and more cold outside. After my last blog I didn't really do a lot except posting some letters and changing some things in my room. And working of course!
On Friday evening Sofie arrived! I picked her up from the busstop and in the evening we basically just talked and after that we went to bed. On Saturday I had to take her to broadway market and after that we had some coffee and 'breakfast' at the look mum no hands café.
Next stop: Nothing Hill, where we walked around, took a couple of Polaroid photos and we went to a shop called whittard. Which was like tea/chocolate milk heaven. Since this cold weather makes me want to buy 25+ candles and drink loads of tea and hot chocolate I decided to buy a set to make hot chocolate (with mint, white, chili, rocky road and caramel hot chocolate). Oh yes, I did.
In the evening we went to westfield (a big shopping mall) for a little bit and after that we went to the shoreditch boxpark to say goodbye to Marcia. When I first got here in London I wrote something on a Facebook page basically asking if there was someone who I could hang out with in the weekend. Marcia was one of them to reply and she asked me if I would like to hang out with her and her friends. I did and since then I have spending a lot of time with these girls! So I am really happy that Marcia invited me to hang out with her and her friends. When you are an au pair you have to say goodbye to more people than your family and friends at home, you also have to say goodbye to new friends. Ok... Getting a little bit sentimental here.
Sunday was the biggest food cheat day ever. The picture above was our breakfast. Oops! After breakfast we went to brick lane where we spent quite some time shopping and looking around. Me and Sofie decided to take the bus to the city to see a lot of the sights like the Big Ben and the London Eye. And... We ate a cupcake.
Next: Emirates air line! This was so nice and easy since you pay with your Oyster card. I would recommend to go around the time that the sun is going down.
On Monday I had to get up for work and after that we walked to roman road market to have breakfast. Finally we went to Westfield for some last shopping.
Sofie had to leave Monday afternoon so now it's just me again here in London. I am beyond tired from this weekend so I did absolutely nothing on Tuesday and today I just did some ironing and I walked the dog. It's good to have relaxing days like this.
