6 months

6 months. I have been living in this lovely city for 6 months already. London... You are a gem. And I might never want to leave this place. I don't want to bore you with super long stories about my last 2 weeks in London before Christmas (oh, what's new... I said I would update my blog and then I didn't update for about a month again). So here are a couple of pictures.

I went to Oxford with Kim and Maudi, such a pretty city! I would really like to go back there soon! Took the train to Kingston to go to the Dutch store hema and to take a very touristic picture. I had dinner in a pub (yes, sausages + mash + peas.. oh so British). The last picture is from Oxford as well.
I bought a nail polish advent calender. Yes, you did read that correctly. I loved it!
I went to winterville. A small wintervillage with loads of mulled wine, an ice skating rink, roller skating and loads of other fun things. I went for dogwalks in the park. Hashtag au pair life. I went to Harrods with Maudi  and all we could afford was frozen yoghurt with gold in it. But hey... You don't hear me complaining.
Maud visited me in London! I am so happy to have spend a couple of days with her since she is moving to Paraguay this month (say what?!). Of course we had to take some touristic pictures.
And then... I went home!

I feel as if I should end this blogpost with a little advice for all the people out there who are thinking about becoming an au pair or to live abroad. To them I would say: just do it. I know it's scary but you are not alone. I have met so many great people over the last couple of months that it feels like I have been here for years and at the same time it feels like yesterday that I booked my ticket, packed my suitcases and arrived in London. Although London already felt like home it now feels like my backyard. I could insert about 2000 quotes here but .... just do it.
