it's always friday

20th January 

This week started off really good because Linus (my hostkid) celebrated his birthday today and because of that I got to go with them to wagamamas, where I had my first curry, ever! I had a great time, especially because I think my hostkid really enjoyed me being there.

21st January

Wednesday, which means ironing day #lifeofanaupair ! In the afternoon my hostkid baked cookies. Yum! In the evening I met up with a new au pair in the area and we walked to Brick lane and shoreditch and had a lovely chat. 

22th January 

On Thursday morning I took the kids to school and after that I met up with Elisa and Birhana (two au pairs who live nearby) to go to the cereal killer cafe! The cereal killer cafe is a place on brick lane where they sell tons of cereal, a lot of different milks and toppings. I wanted to go here for a while now and it's a really nice experience. A bit expensive for a bowl of cereal but I think it's definitely worth a visit!

23th January 

I didn't really have anything planned for today but I ended up going to westfield with Birhana which was really nice. We went shopping for a bit and we had dinner in t.g.i. Friday's. Where it's always Friday. I want to try out more different places to eat (I know nando's is great... But it gets boring after a while!).

24th January 

On Saturday I met up with a Dutch girl! We went to broadway market together and walked to victoria park from there.

In the evening we decided to have dinner on broadway market. Unfortunately she only stays in Hackney in the weekends!

25th January 

On Sunday I met up with Maudi in soho so we could go to the breakfast club, unfortunately there was a line. I mean we expected a line but the wait was over 1,5 hours... So instead we tried to find a different place where they would sell pancakes. We ended up in pattiserie Valerie where we had a nice chat but unfortunately we only got to catch up for a couple of hours. I didn't want to go home yet so I asked Kim, Celine and Nienke if I could join them. They were planning on going to nothing hill, so I took the tube there but I was a bit early so I went to portobello market for a bit.

When they arrived I joined them and I had a lovely evening chatting and having dinner with them. 

That's where my weekend ended and unfortunately I got sick after that so I have been feeling sick since Monday... I hope this weekend will be better though!
